Bom Sucesso shopping centre
I was invited to visit the Bom Sucesso Design Resort, Leisure &
Golf today to see the progress of the new shopping area next to
the reception.
It looks like the supermarket which promises to specialise in
gourmet foods and be the premier gourmet outlet in the Oeste
region will be opening shortly. I'm told the plan is to be open
by August. The new Maze Restaurant, Bar and Pizzaria is also
looking like it will be up and running by August which will
increase the restaurants available on the resort to four.

Project promotion in Portuguese:-
The golf course already opened in 2008. The resort itself was
inaugurated last year and we had a presidential visit in May 2010.
The next 5 minute report by Casa.Sapo.pt gives good views of
the resort when the first properties were ready for habitation
in 2009. The local mayor explains that this resort is on a
fast track to completion and with images of Obidos and the
resort he explains how the project fits into the overall plans for
growth and cultural development in this area.
Inauguration of Bom Sucesso:-
Golfers, owners and tourists are now using the resort, the latter
staying in the rental properties available, and the Hilton Hotel is
under construction.

I ate at the Maze Restaurant - it was fabulous, with friendly owners and a great atmosphere.
The bar has a wide selection of drinks and is inviting also.
