St. Peter's School
St. Peter's School Palmela, is for children from 3 years of age. From Kindergarten to Secondary the school has a Bilingual Syllabus, integrating the Portuguese and English languages. St. Peter's is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate - Diploma Programme and is pursuing authorization as an IB World School.
Students have the opportunity to develop an understanding of both the Portuguese and English cultures. Subjects taught in Portuguese follow the Portuguese National syllabus, whilst subjects taught in the English language follow a syllabus adapted at the various levels of study to the English National Curriculum, with the Cambridge English examinations in mind.

From the age of three the English Language is emphasized on a daily basis and teachers are native speakers of the language. The Lower Intermediate Level is enriched with the introduction of the Spanish Language and with a more extensive study plan in the English Language. Starting from grade 3 in Primary School, pupils can certify their level of English with the University of Cambridge examinations.
Spanish language is offered by the school as part curricular provision for students from grades 5 to 9. The partnership established with the Cervantes Institute makes St. Peter's School the only Examinations Centre south of the River Tagus where the DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera) exams are held.
German language certification is possible with the opportunity to attend preparation classes for the Goethe-Zertifikat exams for students.
