Surfers and Surfing on the Silver Coast
The Atlantic coast of Portugal is world renowned for it's
quality of surf. The World Surf Tour comes to Peniche on the
Silver Coast every year and Surfer Mag acknowledged Supertubes
(supertubos) and the Baleal beaches as being among the best
surfing spots in the world. Below is a very long video of two
Welsh Lads enjoying a full day of surf at one of the many surf
spot beaches at Peniche.

There are many surf schools around Peniche and the Obidos
lagoon. The area around Peniche has unique geography that
guarantees surf every day. Below is a brief 5 second clip of

All along the Silver Coast the almost deserted beaches attract
surfers, and the area north of Nazare is renowned for it's very
quiet beaches and the rolling surf there. Below is a video of
